Encontrei na fotografia e na dança duas grandes paixões. Descobrir que eu poderia colocar as duas juntas na minha vida foi transformador. O que me move na fotografia de dança é a incoerência, a dificuldade da escolha e a beleza. É incoerente querer congelar um corpo em um frame quando o que se mais se admira nele é o movimento. É difícil demais escolher qual parte da coreografia você vai registrar porque fazer isso é entender que outros momentos incríveis ficarão de fora. E, o mais importante, nada é mais belo e perfeito do que o corpo humano. Sou uma admiradora da beleza dos movimentos do corpo. É isso que mais amo fazer. E é isso que faz mais sentido no mundo para mim. Bailarinos, trapezistas e atletas me encantam. E o encanto é o que faz tudo valer a pena.

I found in dance and in photography two great passions. Finding out that I could join them in my life was transforming. What pushes me in dance photography is the lack of consistency, the choice difficulty and the beauty. There’s no coherence in the wish of freezing a body in a single frame when the movement is the most admirable thing in it. It’s too hard to choose a part of the choreography to be registered because this is a way to know that other amazing movements will be left out. And, most important of all, nothing is more beautiful and perfect that the human body. I’m a deep admirer of body movements. And that’s what I love to do. That’s what makes more sense for me in the world. Ballerinas, dancers, trapezists and athlets enchant me. And this enchant
is what makes everything be worth.
